TPO/PVC Roof Mount Photos: From the Box to a Welded Fixing

These photographs follow one TPO/PVC roof mount from the box to a finished fixing on a single-ply membrane roof. Nothing here is a render or a catalogue picture: the parts come off our production line, and the site shots come from roofs our customers have built. For dimensions, pull-out data and ordering information, see the full system specification.

What arrives on site

The mount arrives as one assembly: a 200 mm TPO or PVC membrane disc, a 100 mm aluminium-zinc coated base plate under it, and a 304 stainless steel post with an M8 threaded top. Your crew carries it onto the roof as it is, because there is nothing to assemble. The disc matches the roof membrane — a TPO disc will not weld to a PVC roof, or the other way round.

Fixing through the membrane

Four self-tapping screws drive through the membrane and the insulation and anchor the base plate to the steel deck, which has to be 0.8 mm or thicker. On a profiled metal deck the screws land on the crowns, not in the valleys. Standard screw lengths run from 80 mm to 125 mm, and we make longer ones for deeper insulation.

Welding the disc shut

Your roofer then runs the same hot-air welder used for membrane seams over the disc and welds it to the roof membrane. The photographs show the nozzle at work and the bead it leaves around the whole fixing. That bead is the waterproofing, and your crew reads it bead by bead on the day it is made instead of trusting a patch of sealant nobody can see afterwards.

From mount to finished array

With the disc welded, an L-foot bolts onto the M8 threaded post and carries a standard mounting rail, so the mount drops into the racking you already stock. The last photographs show a completed roof-parallel array on a steel-structure factory roof, plus the palletised packing we ship in.

Tell us your membrane type, insulation thickness and deck thickness, and we will confirm the screw length and quote the complete kit.
